IEEE Blockchain Initiative @ ANON Blockchain Summit Austria, Vienna, April 2-3, 2019
The IEEE Blockchain Initiative was launched in January 2018 to pursue a comprehensive set of projects and activities through various committees focused on community development, conferences, education, publications, standards, and special projects. As part of the community development, over 14 IEEE blockchain community groups have been launched all over the world. Currently, IEEE has several active blockchain standards working groups (P2418 and P2140 series) focused on the areas of finance, IoT, energy, agriculture, digital asset management, and healthcare. In the rapidly emerging blockchain field, IEEE standards seek to enable interoperability, integration, and adoptability in the ecosystem.
The ANON Blockchain Summit Austria will be a two-day conference focusing on real-life applications of blockchain in business, government, banking & finance, healthcare and energy. Experienced speakers, keen investors and opinion leaders will examine the opportunities and threats of this emerging technology. They will analyze the status quo and give a foresight on what we might expect in the future. IEEE Blockchain Initiative , together with the IEEE Global Office in Vienna, is participating in this Summit as a promotional partner to engage with the local companies and community members. Dr. Ramesh Ramadoss, a co-chair of the IEEE Blockchain Initiative, will participate as a speaker on the panel “Blockchain – an opportunity for energy producers and consumers?”.
