IEEE Student Branch at Al Ain University – IEEE UAE Section has organized a seminar about “IEEE Membership: Its mission … It’s Benefits … The Organization” in the College of Engineering at Abu Dhabi Campus.
Many Engineering students and faculty members attended the seminar delivered by Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat – Dean of College of Engineering.
In this seminar, Dr. Mallat provided an overview about the Organization of IEEE, its vision and mission, the benefits and opportunities of IEEE Membership, and the IEEE Special Interest Memberships.
He has also explained that being an active IEEE member gives the opportunity to meet and learn from other fellow students, faculty members and professionals; it gives a great chance to attend and participate in organizing many educational, technical, professional activities.
Being a member in IEEE will open the door to attend different meetings, local and regional conferences, workshops and competitions.

At the end, Dr. Khaddaj Mallat informed the attendees that the College of Engineering and the IEEE Al Ain University Student Branch will provide full support to the IEEE members in the activities and will help in registering them to be active members.
IEEE Al Ain University Student Branch was formed in April 2013 and it is among the most active Student Branches in the IEEE UAE Section, where Al Ain University of Science and Technology is always ready to embrace and support the IEEE UAE Section’s scientific and social activities considering as an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss ideas with others.
