October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research. In this order, I received an article from Roua Guesmi, Chairwoman of WIE ENET’COM student Affinity Group.
“WIE ENET’COM student Affinity Group had the honor to organize a “Pink Ring” marathon, in collaboration with “Dar Al Amal “. The main goal from it is not only to help raise awareness but also to pay respect to our heroes: all women standing bravely in the face of the tumor.
The Marathon took place on the 28th of October in Sfax City, Tunisia. People from different ages, genders and even nationalities gathered up to show their enthusiasm about the occasion.
After a check in , the event started by an energizing warm up session lead by a talented coach.
The marathon began starting from the association’s location and back to it.
In their arrival, participants were met with joyful cheers. The sight of the crowd arriving from afar, carrying a great amount of passion and hope was heartwarming.
After the coffee break, there were a various games for the kids who have joined the marathon. Similarly, a Zumba session animated by superb coaches was in the schedule to sensitize participants about the importance of sport activities.
The event was an amazing opportunity to see how much people cared about pink month and how far awareness had reached.
Most noteworthy, WIE ENET’COM student affinity group couldn’t be happier about taking part in such a spirit-lifting encounter. It put together supporters who had almost nothing in common except their dedication and solidarity. Thanks to the supporters dedication the group was harmonized and the marathon was successful.”
