“In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision.” Dalai Lama

The IEEE ENET’Com Student Branch is growing in good standards. Starting by the huge effort they did in the recruitment of new members which never ends.

This Student Branch has its own way of thinking, a creativity in everything and a great engagement for the IEEE vision.

IEEE ENET’Com Student Branch organised an extraordinary Membership Drive on the 4th ,5th and 6th September 2018 for all the interested and enthusiastic students who want to be part of the world’s largest technical professional organisation IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

In fact, such an event is a tradition in the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications of Sfax (ENET’Com). In every new academic year they schedule a booth and a membership development.

The main objective of this Membership Awareness program was to inform our fellow students about IEEE and it’s benefits to advance their learning experience.  How is that?

For better represent the IEEE for new students, they designed and created new Pins like “Ask Me About the IEEE”.This pins were presented in the booth with another amazing creation I called the “Illuminated vision”.

Presenting the IEEE wasn’t only by these new innovative toolkit but also by showing the “One Family” aspect by its subunits ( IAS, PES, RAS, EMBS and WIE) which were standing in the booth spreading awareness and answering questions.

Students were amazed by what the booth presented: the IEEE flags, the “Star Kids” projects, magazines, flayers…

The decoration attracted their attention and made them curious to know more about IEEE and its benefits.

They showed interest by asking about upcoming events and how to be an IEEE member. Their curiosity couldn’t be satisfied with every answer because every answer pushed them to ask more questions to better understand what’s IEEE? What’s a chapter? What’s the difference between a chapter and an affinity group? What benefits each unit offers?

They were passionately curious and excited with the amount of informations they got and with the fact that IEEE is a long journey with huge amount of possibilities and opportunities to learn and grow.

That wasn’t the only thing they kept in their mind about IEEE but also the  funny aspect and the intimity in our family.

Keep going in taking the lead in empowering students to enhance their knowledge and technical skills to get to know the immense possibility that they are capable of.
