2019 IEEE Educational Activities Board Awards
Celebrating Brilliant Minds and a Bright Future!
IEEE is widely known for its contribution in technology development and science progress. However it also has a great impact in the educational field. IEEE offers a wide range of learning and career-enhancement opportunities within the engineering sciences, research, and other technology areas. Specifically, IEEE Educational Activities partners with academic and corporate institutions to develop and deliver the highest quality learning experiences for IEEE members and the global engineering community. In our article IEEE Educational Activities’ part in the forming of the future teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina the case of how tryengineering.org lesson plans and Inquiry Based Learning methodology is not only demonstrated to educators but it is now a part of a University course in the Pedagogy Faculty University of Sarajevo forming the future teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was presented. Showing that IEEE and IEEE Educational Activities through its members share opportunities in education.
Every year, the IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) Awards are being given to IEEE members and non-IEEE members, in order to “recognize and honor major contributions to engineering and technical education. Awards are given for meritorious activities in accreditation, continuing education, educational innovation, pre-university education, service to the IEEE EAB, employee professional development, informal education systems, and related achievements that advance the practice of engineering and of engineering education.”
